I’m a freelance writer and science communicator based in Dunedin, New Zealand. I’m currently studying towards a Master of Science Communication at the University of Otago, specialising in creative non-fiction writing. My work has appeared in Australian Geographic, Lateral Magazine and Global Hobo.

Australian Geographic internship – I spent six weeks as an editorial intern based at the offices in Sydney. I wrote news stories and blog posts for the website, wrote and fact-checked the print journal, sourced images and completed other office tasks as required. I now write for Australian Geographic on a freelance basis. You can read my online contributions here.
Master of Science Communication (Creative Nonfiction Writing) – a postgraduate degree at the University of Otago with a strong practical component. This year I am undertaking an academic thesis and creative project on Conservation Dogs.
Global Hobo Internship – travel writing workshops, Bahasa Indonesia language classes and writing reviews for a travel guide to Canggu, Bali.
Freelance book formatting – book publications by the Centre for Commercial and Corporate Law, the International Law Group and Canterbury Law Review.
Bachelor of Philosophy (Science) with First Class Honours, 2014 – research-focused degree at the Australian National University (ANU), majoring in chemistry.
